The Application of Engineering Bolts

Nuts and bolts are one of the most common types of fasteners used in machines. They are very popular in every field of engineering. They are used for joining various components to other parts of a machine or for fixing any stationary art or wall.
Engineering bolts have several advantages over other types of fasteners. First, they are very simple to use and install. Secondly, they are not too expensive as compared to other fasteners. Thirdly, they are made from a variety of metals.

Generally, they are made from stainless steel, aluminum or other alloys. They are also available in a wide range of finishes, including black oxide, chrome, nickel plated, phosphate and galvanized.
They have a threaded hole in their centers that match the male threads of a mating bolt. They can be turned with a wrench to tighten or loosen the bond between them and their associated bolts.
Nuts are graded with strength ratings like their bolts, to ensure that they can support the load without stripping their thread (the inside spiral groove). They are typically rated in metric units.
The head of the nut is shaped as a square while its outer surface is shaped in a circular shape with grooves or slits at an equal distance. This enables the c spanner to rotate the nut through these slits.
They are mainly used for the purpose of holding two pieces of equipment together. This type of bolt is very strong, and it is not easy to loosen it. Hence, they are often used in heavy machinery or in bigger projects.
